​Training: The CCHI has previously provided training for stakeholders in both Terminology, ICD10-AM, and HL7 information exchange standards, and further training opportunities may be provided based on stakeholder needs. Training provides the opportunity to know what to implement and when, and the setting allows stakeholders to exchange experience with how they have or plan to implement the new and required terminologies.

Connectathons: Events where implementers come together face to face with experts in the standards to learn about the standards, to develop and test their implementation of the standards in advance of certification and onboarding, and to identify issues with and contribute to improving the quality and usefulness of the standards.

The scheduling of training sessions and Connectathon events will be determined as the SHIB development progresses.
